Norwegian Death Metal Band Performs At Bassist's Funeral; Video, Photos Available

The three surviving members of the Norwegian metal band ORDER performed at their bassist's funeral on Friday, December 12.

Original MAYHEM drummer Kjetil "Manheim" Haraldsson, original MAYHEM vocalist Eirik "Messiah" Nordheim, and CADAVER mainman/guitarist Anders "Neddo" Odden fulfilled their fallen bandmate René Jansen's last wish by playing two songs during the ceremony — a cover of the CELTIC FROST classic "Procreation Of The Wicked", and one of ORDER's original tracks, "Savage".

Jansen died on December 3, three months after being diagnosed with leukemia. He was 45 years old.

Odden and Jansen were both founding members of CADAVER, one of the first Norwegian death metal bands to release an LP.
